Biblical manhood means taking these steps:
• Leading with humillity, selflessness, and strength
• Working hard to provide for your family
• Protecting the weak from those who do evil
• Loving your wife as Christ loved the Church
Believers, your main goal in life is not to find personal comfort. Our purpose is to serve our King and make his name known to the world. Let's live for eternity today.
Don't mistake God's patience for his approval of your lifestyle. He's giving you time to repent of your rebellion and return to him.
Turn to him now before you die and the door of grace is closed (Heb. 9:27).
@JamesTate121 Not once in the entire Bible does Jesus command us to not abduct children. This clearly means that abducting children isn't a problem to Jesus, right?
Basing our theology around the things Jesus didn't say is pretty disastrous.
Ways to identify a false teacher:
• They preach a gospel of health and wealth
• They avoid talking about sin and judgment
• They lift up benefits of following Christ instead of Christ himself
Believers, guard your heart against these sins:
• Pride that thinks you're better than others
• Greed that wants more than what God provides
• Lust that looks for pleasure in the wrong place
• Bitterness that refuses to forgive a brother
"Affliction teaches us to know ourselves. In prosperity we are for the most part strangers to ourselves. God makes us know affliction, that we may better know ourselves." (Thomas Watson)
