Hi friends. I am well now and safely back home. Immigration officers in Amsterdam looked at me and thought I can’t have a genuine passport. They hadn’t even opened it. Held me back for so long apparently “verifying” my passport that I missed my flight. When I told them to check the passport because it has stamps and visas, they said those can be forged too. I have passed through Schiphol airport over 10 times if they had cared to look at the passport and checked my name in the system whatever doubts they had would have been cleared without undue delay and anguish. Anyway, they finished “verifying” long after the plane had left said I should be grateful they are getting me another “free flight” like they had found me stranded without a flight back home. When the “free flight” they got me was 24 hours later, they told me to either wait at the airport or figure out where to spend the next 24 hours. No explanation. No remorse. No apology. I don’t know if it was the anger or anxiety that made it very difficult to breathe or even utter a word and caused me a breakdown.. but it is very unfortunate that in 2026 there are people that still simply look at others and assume they are fraudsters or something. Luckily, good friends came to my rescue and also redeemed the reputation of the Dutch just a bit.. thanks @klup and Marnix🙏 we have already filed a complaint and raised the issue in many fora. I hope that at the very least they never racially profile any other person like that again.

Hawks Seize R36 Million Cocaine Shipment Hidden in Excavators at Durban Harbour
The Hawks have intercepted approximately 90 kilograms of suspected cocaine worth an estimated R36 million at Durban Harbour after the drugs were discovered concealed inside two excavators shipped from Brazil.
The seizure was made on Friday, 6 June 2026, during a joint operation involving the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation's South African Narcotics Enforcement Bureau (SANEB), Customs officials, Durban Visible Policing Operations, and the Local Criminal Record Centre.
According to the Hawks, Customs officials alerted investigators to a suspicious excavator that had arrived aboard the vessel Neptune Ace Tokyo from Santos, Brazil. A detailed inspection uncovered 47 blocks of suspected cocaine hidden behind a panel leading to the machine's engine compartment.
While processing the scene, officials identified a second excavator from the same vessel. A further search led to the discovery of another 43 blocks of suspected cocaine concealed inside the machinery.
The combined haul of 90 kilograms has an estimated street value of R36 million. The seizure adds to a series of major cocaine interceptions linked to shipments arriving from Brazil through Durban Harbour, a key entry point targeted by international drug trafficking syndicates.
No arrests have been made, and investigations are continuing. The seized substances will be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for chemical analysis.

Hangwani Morgan Maumela remains at the centre of one of the most alarming corruption investigations in Gauteng involving the alleged R2.3 billion tender scandal linked to Tembisa Hospital, yet to date there has been no arrest.
Why?
South Africans are entitled to ask questions, especially when billions meant for healthcare are allegedly looted while patients suffer in overcrowded hospitals, critical equipment shortages continue, and healthcare workers are forced to operate under impossible conditions.
If investigators have already identified suspicious tenders, irregular payments and questionable procurement processes, what is delaying accountability?
Are authorities still gathering evidence, or is this another case where politically connected individuals are being shielded from prosecution?
The public has seen raids, search-and-seizure operations and repeated media reports about the scandal, but where are the arrests? Where are the prosecutions? Where is the accountability?
What makes the matter even more concerning is that Maumela’s name also surfaced during proceedings linked to the Madlanga Commission, where alleged dealings involving controversial North West businessman Suliman Carrim were mentioned.
The reality is that public trust in the criminal justice system is badly damaged when high-profile corruption allegations involving billions drag on for years without visible consequences.
Ordinary South Africans are arrested daily for far lesser offences, yet when it comes to large-scale corruption involving public money, investigations often appear slow, secretive and inconclusive. Why should the public believe that there will ever be accountability if those implicated continue to operate freely while investigations drag on indefinitely?
Most importantly, what happened to the money allegedly lost through the Tembisa Hospital tenders? Who benefited? Who signed off on the contracts? Who approved the payments? And when will those responsible,
regardless of their political influence, business connections or status, finally face the full might of the law?
South Africans are not only demanding answers anymore. They are demanding action.

From 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025, South Africa government spent about R76 million on interpreters due to foreigners appearing in courts. Shona accounted for the highest cost at R8.7 million due to demand for interpretation services. Criminals will be the end of South Africa
#CAB3 - I have got a question for neutrals, not partisans. How man of you can be easily motivated to rewrite an exam that you have just about passed but under extremely difficult conditions.
I feel that - that's the closest resemblance to what many were expecting of Chamisa after he had succeeded in denying ED a two thirds majority in a rigged national election.
Many of you have sprung into action uninvited to challenge ##CAB3 but folded hands in the immediate aftermath of the sham election, including the retired Generals.
Perhaps you would have been in a much stronger position to condemn Chamisa had you displayed the same energy at the same time & he had then failed to match it!
Home Affairs Deputy Director General for Counter Corruption Constance Moitse told Parliament that syndicates had been operating across multiple provinces, with compromised officials at municipal traffic offices in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape processing fraudulent applications. She said investigators know exactly which officials were involved.
