More than a word. Reconciliation takes action. Year 6 contemplating Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week, creating a visual response on beautiful Ngunnawal country 🖤💛❤️
The biology of positive habits, practicing a positive habit can predispose our thoughts to be more affirmative - it’s all about culture and is so very worthwhile! @BReitstatter @T__ORourke@tarajbourne@_LukeRitchie@awhitaker1104 https://t.co/Jv04Ec4XU9
Mackellar House having a moment of #mindfulness after a busy first week back!🧘🏽♀️A very zen house meeting today 🧡 Love the @Smiling_Mind program for some great guided meditation ✌🏼
Prep B read 'Beautiful Oops!' - a gorgeous book that celebrates mistakes & invites us to think of them as opportunities to make something beautiful. We then created blow dye blobs & thought of creative ways we could turn them into something beautiful🎨
We have been exploring friendship as part of our WWAunit, speaking about what a good friend looks like, sounds like & feels like. My favourites “a good friend tells you that you have a beautiful heart”&“a good friend feels just like having a party on a trampoline.” I love Prep😍
We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful courtyard outside our classroom ☀️ Prep B spent the morning outside playing maths games as part of our rotations today 🎲
Absolutely LOVED listening to @GraemeSimsion, author of the Rosie series #favourite I can’t wait to read @jeanettepurkis book ‘Finding a different kind of normal’ after hearing her speak tonight 📖
What a great first day in Prep B! We read the book ‘In My Heart’ by Jo Witek as an intro to some of the feelings we may experience, particularly on our first day of school. We then spoke about the things we each hold close to our heart and completed a map of our hearts 💕
Prep B are the flamingos this year! We started our week with some flamingo craft. The students wanted to learn more about flamingos and investigate their life cycle, especially how baby flamingos become pink! They then decided to make eggs, chicks and a habitat for our flamingos!

A little marshmallow fun in Mackellar House last week!🧡Which group can build the tallest free-standing structure holding a marshmallow on top? One of the many reasons I love House. It allows connections to be formed across year levels -enhancing school community and belonging🧡
