TAQATHON is officially underway at 1337 Rabat Campus!

In partnership with @TAQAMorocco , we launched a week-long challenge where students are solving a real industrial problem. This initiative is more than just a hackathon, it’s a unique opportunity for our students to engage with a real-world industrial challenge and co-create solutions that matter.

We started strong with an inspiring opening session, where students discovered the challenge, met the mentors, and got ready to turn ideas into real solutions.

A powerful fireside chat with TAQA Experts gave students a deeper look into the reality of the energy industry and why this challenge matters.

Then came two hands-on workshops:
• Design Thinking for Tech Prototypes, helping students think clearly, design better, and stay user-focused.
• Using AI with Purpose, how to build trust, create real impact, and innovate with meaning.

All day long, teams worked on their solutions while receiving guidance from both tech mentors from 1337 Staff and industry mentors from TAQA Morocco.

At 1337, we believe that learning happens best when it’s connected to the real world. TAQATHON is exactly that.

We’re excited to see where this journey leads, and proud of our students for stepping up.
