Four kilometres taking 2.5 hours, schoolchildren trapped in traffic on the morning of their mid-term exams. While you make grand claims about transforming Bengaluru, children are sitting helplessly in school buses, watching the clock and fearing they will miss their exams. This is the reality of the Bengaluru your @INCKarnataka government has delivered.

SH-35 has become a symbol of your administration’s complete lack of urgency. Craters, dust, bottlenecks and heavy vehicles have turned the Varthur–Gunjur stretch into a daily nightmare. You can conduct as many review meetings as you want and issue as many statements as you like, but a review meeting does not repair a road and a press statement does not move traffic.

What is even more shameful is that parents were reportedly forced to abandon school buses and take their children on two-wheelers through the gridlock just to reach their examination halls. Imagine the helplessness of a parent who has to choose between risking a child’s safety and watching that child miss an exam. This is what happens when a government loses sight of basic governance.

Stop selling “Brand Bengaluru” while Bengaluru itself is crying for basic infrastructure. A government that cannot get a child four kilometres to school on time has no right to lecture Bengaluru about a “world-class city”.

Less PR, fewer meetings, more governance. The people of Bengaluru deserve accountability, not excuses.

Kicked off the Freedom Walk at Harlur Road Junction! 🚨

Bengaluru streets continue to remain dangerously neglected. When we visited the Harlur road junction, we witnessed firsthand the abysmal conditions residents face daily—broken patches, chaotic traffic, and infrastructure that feels completely abandoned by the system.

During our interaction, locals voiced their frustration over empty promises, noting how political parties constantly make tall claims about road dimensions while delivery remains zero. Residents highlighted how basic civic needs like safe footpaths, cleared drains, and proper garbage management are ignored, leaving citizens questioning if asking for safe, basic infrastructure is too much to expect from tax-paying residents.

Citizens stepped up to join us on this walk to demand accountability and proper answers from the authorities. It is time we unite and force this broken system to be responsible.
