@365_Writing Shut every device down and don’t look at it. Though that’s a little hard, considering how much I like music. Maybe put some music on and then ignore everything else, and put pen to paper instead!
Finally finished the chapter that got me stuck for a few days. Not my best work, but that’s what editing is for! 😁 I’m just glad it’s done!

Well, it’s been a year, so here’s an update!
I finished Blinded by the Ocean at the end of 2022 and now I’m in the process of editing it!
Why is editing so hard?!

Writing shouldn’t always feel easy. The times when the words flow freely are amazing & to be embraced. Nothing worth doing is totally free from difficulty. By experiencing the challenge of writing & pushing through the times when it’s tough, you can grow as a writer.

Hey #WritingCommunity, how do you get back into it after hitting a slump? And suggestion helps right now.
And sit down in front of a document ain’t working right now. 😅

First day of NaNo has been a success! I don’t think I’m done for the day, but time for a break. Plus, I should really put that laundry away…

Making aesthetics or playlists or daydreaming is GOOD for your writing and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Because, firstly, it's fun and writing is allowed to be magical and wild and delightful. And secondly, it's literally building your story. No downsides!!!
At the end of the day all you can do is your best.
And sometimes 'your best' is just managing to live through another day.
It takes immeasurable strength to live.
So don't be too hard on yourself, okay?
You're doing great.

Them: "I got 5k words written today!"
Me: "I got 500 words written today!"
Word count doesn't matter. Just write what you want, how you want, when you want.

writer problems
- wanting to write everything all at once
- forgetting how you described your character so simply never describing them again
- researching something for 2hours to write 1 accurate sentence
- genuinely missing your characters when you finish writing
