There are families who can barely put bread on the table let alone to buy pads.

My 15-year-old hair stylist, who has been doing my hair for months, was bleeding during our last appointment......

So this was what happened

I asked her to come home to make my hair for me and I noticed throughout the process she was uncomfortable!

I kept on asking her but she wasn't cooperating, so I left her to continue making my hair

Something made her turn and I found out that she's already stained.

I asked her if she didn't know her period was coming and she said she knew.

You knew and you didn't use pad?

I even asked if she was having heavy flow but she said no and I immediately found out she's hiding something..then I took her to my room

And asked some questions

Guys.... to cut the long story short,

She's using cloth pieces instead of a menstrual pad

The pieces already gave her rashes(maybe infection) and she's just 15!
She said she couldn't afford a pad... eiwww

I did my part, and provided her with proper sanitary pads and medical attention(with what I could afford)

However , I know they are other females will be facing something similar, especially the less privileged

I couldn't just help but think about this the whole night and prayed about it too

So family, I'm requesting for support to get pads🤲

I want to make provision of pad to teenagers and give them education on "Infection"

I've asked around for the prices of pad

The prices are the same everywhere. Same with my area.

This pad that we used to buy for #700 when it first came out, later moved to #1,000, then to #1,200, then 1,700 now it's almost 2,500 if not more.....

I'm writing this on behalf of the Girl Child.

I don't know how they are coping... Like my stylist ,some have gone back to using cloth pieces

Which is unhygienic 😔.

I'm reaching out to request support in providing sanitary pads and education to teenagers in need.

The cost of pads has skyrocketed over the years, making it difficult for many to afford.

Condoms should be sold.

Pads should be given for Free
