Made my side project's onboarding open with a sunrise.
- The sky is one WebGL shader, 4.7 KB of GLSL
- Every step morphs into the next, all in code
- 470 KB for the whole flow
A lot of @emilkowalski's skill in the motion
Added a dark room with an old TV to https://t.co/cDWTwGoflA
- Built in three.js
- The rug and furniture reflect the screen's colors as the picture changes
- Composed a short static sound for switching channels
Try it out!
I remade my homepage with Opus 5.5 and pushed it hard. We made music & movies, drew textures, modeled things in Blender: https://t.co/WOGPQVm6Fq
I'm really happy with the result!
@joshpuckett@ayushsoni_io I don’t think there’s any practical reason to use it, but it was definitely fun for me to play around with.
Also, it’s amazing how Opus 5.5 can one-shot an image reference and create all the animation controls, which I didn’t ask for.
I’m excited to share my side project TV CRT (a WebGL tool with CRT shaders). You can upload your own image, SVG or video and export PNG, WebP or JSON.
It’s built with DialKit by @joshpuckett. Some presets are inspired by @ayushsoni_io and UNBSERVED.

@joshpuckett@ayushsoni_io A quick story: last year a friend sent me an 8BitDo M30 gamepad and showed me how to set up retro Sega games on a Mac and select different shaders.
After that I thought it could be a nice effect for another side project. So I started to build a tool to configure those effects.
