Typical liberal elite downtown Raleigh swamp creature. Act like they care about the suburbs during elections, then as they turn and run they can’t even pronounce the Town’s name they claim to have conquered. #ncpol
I just listened to Senate Minority Leader Batch on @MyPBSNC State Lines say, “I would say that the whole challenge with regards to DEI and where we are is what Pat actually started his remarks with is how it is defined, and the fact of the matter is it’s very difficult to define…”.
Hearing that, I will say then that it is very appropriate for the taxpayer, voter and their elected representatives to question why local governments like Wake County is spending $1 million in taxpayer dollars a year (your property taxes) on salaries and benefits for an office where the purpose is “very difficult to define.”
Government does not exist to give adults jobs for an undefined purpose. #ncpol
Just received this email from an elementary school librarian, and politically-charged @NCAE member, from my district. The email says that this librarian knows better than any parent about what books their child needs to be exposed to in school because she “has a master’s degree in library science,” and is “highly qualified in collection management and responsive to students' needs.”
Rep.@ErinforNC’s car was egged at a Republican Women’s Club event this week.
Who gave these people permission to leave their post from protesting at the local Tesla dealership?
It would be best for the NCAE to sit this one out and allow constructive work to be done on behalf of North Carolina teachers. The involvement of this hyper-partisan union injects unnecessary political jargon into a serious discussion. I look forward to continuing to fight for this bill in order to create an environment in NC that attracts and retains the best teachers.
Victims of Helene want and need help.
For voter turnout it would be far wiser, more efficient and easier to turnout another 4000-5000 GOP voters in Wake, Mecklenburg or other parts of the state than shifting limited resources to the storm ravaged west. 5/
Tremendously grateful for the support across district 37, and for the hard work of my husband Wayne for getting our billboard signs up today across the district. And we aren’t even halfway done yet! I didn’t think it was possible to beat our numbers from last election, but thanks to you we are going to nearly double it. Very thankful for the support from folks all across the district. Let’s win big!
Rep. @ErinforNC, R-Wake, shared a video of wraparound lines at one DMV location, and she sent a letter requesting DMV Commissioner @WayneGoodwinNC join her and other elected leaders for a site visit. #ncga#ncpol
The NC Community College System reported a 45% increase in Registered Apprentice enrollments during the 2023-2024 state fiscal year. Enrollees learn a skilled trade and become a part of growing, adaptable and needed NC workforce. https://t.co/4rheX3EHjM #econdev#ncpol
