The single greatest productivity tip I could give is to wake up an hour earlier and get straight to work on the single most important thing that will move the needle toward your goals. Preferably before most people are even awake. People are the biggest source of distractions.

@teacher2teacher I would paste blank sheets of paper all around the class, one for each group.

I'd give the groups something fun to do like "tell a story by drawing a picture". They will leave the picture for the neve group to try and figure it out and write a few sentences. Lots of laughing.
