1543 cancelled from Barnstaple and replaced by Taw & Torridge coach. Train started instead from Exeter.

Tarka Line services have been disrupted by surface water run off at Eggesford this afternoon. 1453 ex EXM and 1443 from BNP badly disrupted.

Line now clear. Some disruption will remain, but 1543 departure will run. Good news is girl survived.

There has been an incident at Barnstaple with a person under a train. Emergency services are attending.

This morning due to a track fault, the 0700 departure from Barnstaple didn't depart until 0738. It was forced to run at 5mph over the fault.

March engineering work will involve renewal of Lapford bridge longditudinal timbers and some track work near Umberleigh & Lapford.

Revised March closure dates now to be 2300 sunday 10.3.13 to 1500 Wednesday 13.3.13 and all day on Sat/Sun 23/24.3.14.

The first train on the line today was delayed by over running engineering work at Crediton. Had to return to Exeter first thing.
