I am deeply alarmed by the detention of Sama Safi in an Israeli prison. Sama, a 20-year-old Palestinian American student, was taken from her home in the middle of the night and continues to be held without charges. This is part of a disturbing pattern of the Israeli government denying Palestinians their basic due process rights, often at risk to their health and safety. The United States has a responsibility to protect its citizens abroad, and we must hold our allies to basic standards of equal justice under the law. I am urging Secretary Rubio and the Trump Administration to use every diplomatic tool available to bring Sama home safely.

The US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, is a treasonous, mentally ill individual that should have been fired long ago.

So far he’s:

- Met with Jonathan Pollard, the convicted Israeli spy, at the US embassy without informing the White House or CIA.

- Caused an international diplomatic crisis between the Trump administration and Gulf allies after stating it would be fine if Israel took over the entire Middle East.

- Has routinely stated the United States of America is too weak to survive without Israel.

- Claims his role as US Ambassador of Israel is to “educate Americans on the importance of Israel” instead of “representing the interests of America in Israel”.

- Publicly stated he checks Trump’s TruthSocial everyday to make sure he hasn’t been fired (if he represents the administration’s diplomatic stance, he shouldn’t be concerned).

- Posting about his opposition to any peace deal with Iran, as Trump is actively working on exactly that.

Not only does he not represent the interests of America, but he doesn’t even represent the diplomatic stance of the Trump administration as it actively tries to end the Iran war.

This man is a traitor in every sense of the word.

At the very least he must be fired, if not put behind bars.
