You compare yourself with a Bhikhari nation to feel proud, not with the one actually developing.
I write this with extreme sadness for my country. When young Indian PM Indira Gandhi landed in the US on 27.3.1966, she had just one mission- secure US wheat for starving Indians. She met Prez Lyndon Johnson, the next day. Johnson promised to give India all the wheat it needed- But on one condition- India shd unconditionally support The US in the Vietnam War. The IRON LADY of India flatly refused. The US punished India by delaying,& reducing wheat shipments to India. Remember, this was the time India was critically on US wheat. India lived from (US) ship to mouth. Yet, Indira was unmoved.
On 26 July 1956, Gamal Abdel Nasser nationalized the Egyptian Suez Canal after the U.S. and Britain withdrew funding for the Aswan High Dam. In November 1956, at the UN, Indian PM Nehru thundered against the Anglo-French-Israeli military intervention in Egypt. Even adversaries listened to Nehru at the UN in complete silence. Such was his stature. India was punished for this by Europe. He didn't bother. India stood for what was right.
A grateful Egypt, closed the Suez Canal in Dec 1961, to deny the (then) powerful Portuguese Navy, despatched by dictator António de Oliveira Salazar passage to reach Goa, when India integrated the Indian territory of Goa from Portuguese control. Those were the times. Dirt poor, no military or Industries to speak of, yet India stood up for what was correct.
Today, India is a strong economy & military. Attends G7. Yet, we act as a client state of the US. Following US threats, India will be represented at the Khamenei funeral by, hold ur breath- The Governor of Bihar. PM Modi shd hv been there to grieve with our Iranian friends, for an elderly Shia Muslim Cleric revered by the entire Muslim World.
Even President Zia attended Indira Gandhi's funeral, & both sitting Pak PM Nawaz Sheriff & Benazir Bhutto attended the funeral of Rajiv Gandhi, when he was not even PM. Such diplomatic niceties are common even btw enemies. But, the Supreme Leader of Shia Muslims of the world is given a burial, & the Indian PM will not be there.
Woe betide our India!
This is the Ayodhya development authority office. A flight of stairs collapsed in their office building. Narrow escape for BJP MLA and Mayor. The authority is responsible for approving planning, building projects and constructing public amenities. Their own construction reeks of massive corruption.
This went on for six fucking years!!
Fake salaries for doctors and nurses, fake electricity and water bills, fake medicine expenses, and no one was able to catch it!
India is truly a land of scams; scams that are hard to believe but happen!!
In an alternate universe, India would have a ruling elite able to recognize that the Guardian of the Blue Horizon and Philip Kotler Presidential Award are not exactly symbols of international prestige. https://t.co/jTNcvIU16u
Boss how can you claim vegetarianism as a default virtue in Hinduism when LITERALLY every single myth of ours involves folks hunting. Unless you think Ram or Shantanu were into taxidermy, what do you think they were hunting for? To eat!! That's the whole damn basis of Ramayana!

Dear Friends,
Rajagopal here.
I received my renewed passport a few hours ago. Its renewal had been blocked after the Kolkata Police submitted an adverse report citing the deletion of my name from the voters' list under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).
I thank everyone in this group for your words of support and for your efforts to amplify the issue.
However, I must point out that, viewed against the larger backdrop, the issue has not progressed much since I discussed it publicly last week. As far as I know, neither the Central Government nor the Government of West Bengal has yet issued any clarification on whether data collected under the SIR for a specific purpose can be used for other services.
Some media outlets called me to ask whether I felt "victorious". What an insensitive question to ask! Since they did ask, I told them that I do not feel victorious. I continue to feel as despondent as I did a week ago. Unless and until there is policy clarity on this issue, it is difficult to claim any real relief.
Instead of asking me whether I feel "victorious", the media should be asking the Central Government and the Government of West Bengal why they have not clarified this important issue. That, surely, is the question that deserves public attention.
I hope every friend in this group will continue to discuss the larger issue—not my individual plight—on every available platform until such clarity emerges.
Thank you once again.
Rajagopal

For the first time today I watched the boy wonder Suryavanshi in action. Disappointed. Not because he didn't get a big score. Disappointed because he wasn't a pleasure to watch. I'll choose elegance over awkward desperation for sixers anyday.
6 to 8 lac rupees were being stolen per day from Ram Mandir
As per Bank, average Money deposited -
Before donation theft news : ₹16-18 lac
After donation theft news : ₹24-26 lacs
And this is when footfall in Ram Mandir has reduced by 50%
DOUBLE ENGINE GOVT 🤡🤡
Rajdeep Sardesai: Trees are falling because of rampant concretisation.
Milind Deora: You can't have everything, and you can't please everyone, in a city like Mumbai
FYI: Over 54 people have lost their lives and 420 have been injured in tree-fall incidents across Mumbai since 2012.
There's a 700 crore medical scam unfolding in the national capital.
But the mainstream media is mute about it.
According to the Indian Express report, portable X-ray machines were billed at Rs 33 lakh, which cost Rs 10 lakh in the market.
Hospital sheets and even ORS sachets were billed at 3 to 6 times more than the actual cost.
Three people have been arrested, including former director of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) of the Delhi government.
This is our money being siphoned off.
But where's the outrage?
In a bizarre administrative anomaly that has left the local health department scrambling for answers, a proposed 100-bed civil hospital in #Indore's Khajrana area has been fully functioning "on paper" for six years, despite not having a single brick laid, or even a finalized plot of land.
Six years ago, #MadhyaPradesh state government announced the setting up of a modern civil hospital in Khajrana.

@gauravsabnis@kashmirArchives The issue is more basic. Its the intelligence score. A total inability to think, reason. Low intelligence is the leading cause of bigotry, insecurities and much more.
@nabilajamal_ That was meant for you and your ilk who are carpet bombing this coverage while staying mum on gang rapes of minors simply because those victims are from underprivileged backgrounds.
