A malicious smear campaign by elements more loyal to Iran than to Pakistan is underway against our closest strategic ally the UAE. Let the truth be known: Pakistan was the first to recognize UAE and helped build its armed forces and aviation from the ground up when it was a young nation. In return, UAE saved Pakistan from economic default not once but thrice, provided billions in investments, deposits, remittances, and humanitarian aid during floods and crises. UAE, like Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, has been a victim of economic terrorism and hybrid threats by IRGC and rogue elements. It has every right to protest and seek a permanent, secure solution for the Strait of Hormuz. Pakistan’s proactive and balanced engagement with Iran has consistently protected UAE and Gulf interests not just Saudi Arabia’s. Lasting peace and stability in the region will benefit everyone. Any deportations carried out were strictly of those with proven IRGC links and security threats. Pakistan-UAE ties are deep, historic, and mutually beneficial rooted in shared faith, history, and strategic interests. No campaign of lies can break this brotherly bond
