@Drayco196@stephenRB4@JacobsBen Yeah, like those penalties are for fun and if you look at the history and statistics, one might be surprised how often it happens in the knockout stages.
Xabi Alonso or Fabregas. Those two were the best options on the market. Iraola would be too risky, coming from the similar environment like Brighton, and everyone knows how it ended with Potter. However, Iraola is much better coach imho.
Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Xabi Alonso as Manager of the Men’s Team.
The Spaniard will begin his role on July 1, 2026, having agreed a four-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Welcome to Chelsea, Xabi!
Same standards? Well, not in the Premier League and when Arsenal are involved.
They bullied goalkeepers the whole season, but once the situation is against them, VAR reacts…
Tomas Soucek is the definition of persistence – never giving up, working hard, and staying humble.
Underappreciated by many, even in his own country. They tried to drop him against Ireland in the play-offs, and it showed just how critical his presence is.
Just wow. Chelsea wait silently for the second goal. No fighting spirit at all.
Rosenior will be sacked. Get some proper interim, as United did it, until the end of the season and bring a proper coach this summer.
Fabio Capello saw this coming.
Speaking to Flashscore last year, he said Frank Lampard could still become a top coach after the mistakes of his early managerial career.
A year later, Lampard has delivered Coventry City to the Premier League, sending the club back to the Premier League for the first time in 25 years. Lesson learned.
“When you work with the academy, it’s a university.”
He revealed: “When I finished playing, for the first five years, I worked with the academy. When you work with the academy, you understand what you have to do, when you speak to the players, when you speak with the youngsters.
“It’s, for me, it’s a university. A university where you can understand what you have to do.”
He added: “I believe the players, they have to do something else before to be a top manager. I noticed these two fantastic players, two of the best players I managed, and I am sure that in the future they will also be very good head coaches in important clubs. Because they understand the mistake they made at the start.”
