A few basic models i have worked on... to help me really figure out this anatomy stuff! As a kinesthetic visual learner- it’s deffo helped me to understand and learn certain terminology deeper & their location!Would recommend for any1 struggling to have a go! @SLTatBCU
When I tell people I can’t see at night, so I rarely drive after dark, they look at me like I’m nuts.
This is what people with an astigmatism see at night…
Last night I reached out because I was struggling.
Not for attention. Not for pity. Just to say I’m not okay.
Someone replied telling me I needed to “change my perspective,” that I was “supporting a victim mentality.”
Here’s the thing:
I’m not a victim I’m a human being trying to keep going while grieving, while managing ADHD, autism, and mental health issues.
Sometimes reaching out takes every ounce of strength a person has left.
And when the response is shame or judgment? It doesn’t make someone stronger it makes them feel smaller, unseen, and stupid for even trying.
If someone reaches out to you, please remember:
They don’t need fixing.
They need kindness.
Absolutely exciting!! Thank you @Claire_SLT for this opportunity, I feel so grateful to be a part of this accomplishment🙏🏼 i’m really looking forward to reading this.. it will be mind blowing!!
Very excited that our collaborative book edited by @drhazelrichards, @AaronESLT and Natacha Capener is almost ready for pre-order. 3 co-authored chapters full of practical ideas to help education staff to support children with a range of SLCN.

Before age 30, you should be smart enough to realize these things.
1: Your circle should be about money, growth, and building a future. If they’re still broke, gossiping, and chasing chaos, you’re not in a circle you’re in a trap. Proximity shapes destiny. Choose better.
Join us today on #RCSLTstudentday 🎊 Lot’s to learn… the Student Day made a huge difference for me last year. Definitely a priviledge to be on the Panel this year 🤗. Thank you for having me #RCSLT
@Bammo44@BCUSALTSOC@SLTatBCU @victorialundie0 @victorialundie0 - you weren’t my personal tutor- but if you were, I know you would have been amazing ❤️ congratulations 🥳
15 month-old wanted me to do some drawing with her-so I used it as an opportunity to bounce some vocab around. She told me what to draw and I drew them- or I pointed to something, named it, then drew it. Great way to bond too. 2 words below: dudu bottle (milk bottle) and fish!
Feels so surreal writing this, I can proudly say I have accepted a Band 5 role as a Paediatric SALT. 🥳 Can’t wait to help young people realise their potential 🥰 @SLTatBCU@BCUGraduatePlus
