Calling us Houthis is like calling the Iranian people Khomeinis. Wouldn't it be better to call us Yemenis instead of Houthis?

I wish that were the case, because "Houthi" is the title of the leader of the Yemeni revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, while the entire population participated in the September 21, 2014 revolution. Therefore, you should call us by our true name: Yemenis or Ansar Allah (Supporters of God).

The name "Houthis" is used by our enemies to belittle us and deny our existence as a state, government, people, and army. Therefore, I hope you will not call us by the name our enemies use for us.

لا شك أنّ إيران أكثر حرصاً على الأمن الجماعي للمنطقة من أي طرف آخر. وإن ظنَّ مجلس التعاون أن حل هذا القلق يكمن في الاحتماء بأكبر منتهك للأمن، فإن ذلك يُعد بحد ذاته خروجاً عن الغاية المنشودة، ومفارقةً مريرة، ومؤشراً مخيباً للآمال على عدم الاتعاظ من التجارب المريرة الأخيرة.

ينبغي ��ن يكون واضحاً للجميع أن القدرات العسكرية الإيرانية تكفل للشعب الإيراني حقه الأصيل في ال��فاع المشروع عن النفس في مواجهة العدوان والجرائم، وتضمن في الوقت ذاته السلام والاستقرار في المنطقة.

إنّ أمن إيران القومي وكرامتها أمران لا يقبلان المساومة أو الاشتراط؛ فكما أنّ الحق الأصيل في الدفاع المشروع ليس محلاً للنقاش، فإنّ وسائل هذا الدفاع لا يمكن أن تكون موضع مساومة أو تنازل مع أي طرف.
