Jin Jing: I don’t think I have particularly high emotional intelligence. I think it’s more about opening up a certain perspective like when you begin learning to accept the world.

there’s something I’ve never said to you (zlh) before, but I have to say it here, once again, to everyone. this ability I discovered—to feel the kindness in others, to see their strengths—it was Zhang Linghe who opened that window for me.

it was during that one scene—we’ve talked about this in private before—the 🌙Yue Palace scene in My Journey to You. at the time, the exits of the filming set were blocked by the water, so we were trapped on set and couldn’t return to our rest areas. that was when we started chatting.

people know that he asked me, “why don't you act more?” I said, “because no one wants to act with me.” he looked at me seriously and said, “I’ll act with you.”

that moment really made me feel—how can someone like this exist in the world? he unintentionally show his sincerity that moment.

later, I realized that maybe the reason why I couldn’t give (to others emotionally) was because I didn’t have much in me at the time.

but Zhang Linghe truly made me feel that he is someone whose heart is already so full that makes his kindness overflows.

then I began to realize that maybe what I thought of as just “colleagues” or a mere “workplace” environment... maybe it was me who wasn’t willing to open up, to truly see the people around me.

but then he came...and there was Yu Shuxin too...

so I’m really really grateful to this drama. it brought me two great friends. and these two friends taught me how to make friends with others. because both of them have such powerful energy. they’re complete and fulfilled within themselves, and that’s why they’re able to influence and inspire the people around them.

and because of Zhang Linghe, I came to variety show The Truth and got closer to him. and because he’s also so close with everyone else, he became the bridge between me and other people—he guided me to walk into other people’s hearts, too.

then I saw how incredibly beautiful people like Liu Yuning, Bai Yu, Zhou Keyu, and Dilraba. they really are so beautiful that it's almost shocking.

their kindness often doesn’t show on camera, but in private, in so many small moments, I truly felt: wow, people can really be this kind?

that was a big awakening for me: I can make friends at work.

and this is something I’ve always wanted to publicly thank Zhang Linghe for.
