Highlights from preseason, going 2-0! I averaged 20.5 points 5 rebounds and 3 assist between the two. We beat Orangewood Christian 72-41, I scored 18 in only 2 quarters played. In our next matchup against a big school, Celebration Highschool, I had 23 points in a hard fought win.

“I’m not worried about making friends or if parents think it’s fair. I won’t risk my job or livelihood on a player that isn’t what I think they need to be to play at this level or that has parents who are always running their mouths with negative things to say. Parents always say their kid just needs a chance. We can’t just give chances, it doesn’t work that way. It doesn’t matter how hard they’ve worked or how good they are as students if they can’t get here and help us win and handle business I won’t recruit them. If their parents are always bashing coaches I won’t recruit them either. Like it or don’t like it. I’ve been successful this way and won’t change”.

2022-23 CBB Transfer Portal Stats

With most universities starting classes in the coming weeks, of all the athletes that have committed to a new program, 1 out of 12 players who transferred this year went up in the portal, the rest have either transferred lateral or down.

With most of the rosters finalized, 45% of players who entered the portal this year will not play NCAA basketball in the upcoming 2023-24 season.
