@MeghanMcCain I really like the idea of Marco staying at Secretary of State for 12 years. His legacy could be huge with that much time at the helm of foreign affairs.
@edstetzer It's like when my wife was pregnant with twins all these women came up to her and said "I lost my twins right about the same point in pregnancy that you are right now." Why?
@SteaknShake Just went to the Rome Georgia location at 3:33pm and asked for the free Beef Tallow Tots. They had no clue what I was talking about. They said this was not a real thing.
@3YearLetterman At my previous church (because I am a Baptist), we made sure the bylaws said that if someone barged in as they did in Minnesota, then we would treat them as trespassers. We would shoot them. And it is legal to shoot trespassers in GA.
Facilities just sent me an email asking why the server room temperature is set to 62°F.
They said it's "excessive" and they want to raise it to 68°F to save on cooling costs.
I replied with a six-paragraph email explaining "thermal load balancing," "equipment MTBF degradation," and "catastrophic failure risk."
I cited a "study" that showed every degree above 65°F reduces server lifespan by 15%.
There is no study. I made that up.
But I CC'd the CFO and said if Facilities wants to take ownership of a potential $200K hardware replacement due to overheating, they're welcome to adjust the temperature.
Facilities backed off immediately.
Here's the truth: the servers would be fine at 70°F. Data centers run hotter than that all the time.
But I like the server room at 62°F. It's the only place in the building where I can go to cool off and get some peace and quiet.
Plus, now I have an email chain proving that I "advocated for infrastructure longevity" while others wanted to "cut corners."
Technical decisions are rarely about what's right. They're about who's willing to use more jargon.
@DesignWitty@dandinohill I like the idea of raising their retirement to, like, a million a year if they retire after one term. If they serve two terms, it's $250k. If they serve 3 terms or more, they get no retirement. Let's get them moving out.
@CryptidPolitics Trump wasn't my guy during the early primaries of 2016, but he whooped everyone else on those debate stages; he absolutely won my vote by the end of the process. I'm not sure we need like 16 republicans running for POTUS, but a primary that someone has to win is best for the USA
@mhp_guy If you are going to do Santa you should do it correctly. Good boys and girls get gifts and bad boys and girls get coal. The Bible says none are righteous. No not one. Kids get coal.
Franklin could count by twos and tie his shoes. He could zip zippers and button buttons. He even had a best friend named Bear. But Franklin wanted more. Franklin always wanted to understand… Unconditional Election.
Self-imposed deadlines? A struggle. Productivity tools? Surprisingly effective. Sometimes the biggest obstacles are the ones we create for ourselves. #Productivity#TimeManagement

On the fax that might be an issue that is easier to fix than healthcare. When HIPPA was passed fax was the most common technology. The insurance company doesn't have to worry about a HIPAA claim if they receive a fax. If they got an email or text with protected health info they could be open to a claim. Some simple HIPPA tweaks could be welcome.
