remember when not only you would get a disc but you’d also get a case with meaningful cover art along with a manual that taught you how to play (and often included fun additional lore tidbits) and hell sometimes they’d even throw in a poster for free just for fun

i still wish physical pc games were a thing but the reason why it's not *as* big of a deal on pc is simple. if you want a game, you can just go get it if you look online
