💥💥Tear Gas in a Children’s Hospital: This Brutality Must End

After the killing of two children in Manipur, armed #Kuki militants, people have been holding peaceful rallies demanding justice. Instead of protecting civilians, security forces responded with extreme force, even firing tear gas into a children’s hospital, a place that should always remain safe.

This is inhumane and unacceptable. Hospitals must never be targeted, and peaceful protests must not be met with brutality. Those responsible in the security forces must be held accountable.

“They knew nothing and slept peacefully in my arms. It would have been better if I had died and they had lived. My little one just stopped responding… she was too tired. They are martyrs, and I will not rest until the perpetrators are punished.”

“My husband (BSF personnel), was on duty protecting the nation. We slept believing that his fellow Security Forces would protect us. If they couldn’t, I wish I had been able to save my children.”

The perpetrators remain at large. The government has completely failed to protect civilians. No mother should ever have to endure such pain.

It is widely suspected that Kuki militants are behind this attack as part of a continuing campaign of terror against Meitei civilians.
