Wondering why so many community pharmacies are closing ?

The NHS DrugTariff reimbursement, the price paid to pharmacist, for Atorvastatin 20mg is 92p

The cheapest wholesaler selling this drug is selling it for almost £25

Each script will cost the pharmacist a £24 loss

Pharmacists ARE more than qualified enough to carry out clinical services such as supplying antibiotics (if clinically needed!)

It takes us 5 years to qualify. Pharmacy students will even graduate with a prescribing qualification soon.

Stop undermining us.
