This lent has been challenging. As we reflect on the promises of God may you ground yourself in his unchanging love. May God’s character become your refuge—your constant & unshakable foundation. May you rise above this challenge & embrace it for what it can be: a return to Christ
God’s desire to spend time alone with you is not meant to add stress or pressure to your life but to relieve you from it. He is a good Father who longs to fill your life with his grace, power, and love. May your day be marked by His presence & the love of your kind, good Father.
God's word is truer than how you feel, & if you align your life with Scripture it will powerfully affect your emotions. Transcendent joy & peace come when we establish God’s word as our basis for truth. May your day be marked by a new freedom as the result of renewing your mind.
Ask God to help you live for others. Ask him to show you where he is working in the lives of those around you. Ask him to reveal how he would have you partner with him today in advancing his kingdom.
Where are you seeking fulfillment and provision from the world rather than God?
Experiencing joy in this life is the result of casting aside anything that chains your heart to this world. Live for God & discover the wealth that comes from storing up your treasure in heaven.
How consistently do you spend time with God? Do you feel like spending time with him is in any way an obligation rather than a desire? Be honest with God! He longs to pour out his limitless grace over anything that is holding you back from experiencing the fullness of his love.
God I thank You today for Your grace, mercy and peace. I don’t deserve it, it’s all because of Your incredible love for me. I am grateful that You died on the cross, rose again and sent Your Spirit to make a home in my heart. Amen.
I pray this season of Lent is filled with prayer & guided by fasting. God I pray for more of you in my life. As I continue to seek you and put you first I pray that you would refresh my soul. I know that when I put you first in my life, everything else will come into order. Amen.
Loving by faith causes us to reach out to others. This certainly means actively loving other Christians. It also means taking the initiative to reach out to non-Christians by witnessing. And the only thing you need to do is share God's love.
We must learn to stop relying on ourselves for everything, especially when faced with the seemingly impossible. Our strength doesn't come from us, it comes from God. When we accept this and allow him to work in our life without hindrance, amazing things happen.
It is impossible, in our own strength, for us to love those who are hard to love.
Somehow we have to. If we know we can't do it in our power, then the only way is to trust that when the time is right Gods love will shine through us, we need only to be willing. Are you willing?
We are commanded and empowered to love.
We are to love God. This is basic and foundational to all else. It is the greatest of all commandments. The source of our love is found in God Himself.
We are to love others.
We are to love ourselves.
We must love our enemies.
Valentine's day may be over, but your calling to share love is not. Spend some time today reflecting on how you can share more of God's agape love, not just with those who love you, but everyone you encounter.
As long as we’re spending time with The Word, more and more truths will be revealed to us. The more we learn, the more we will understand and then be able to put into practice the benefits of citizenship into our lives.
