A huge thank you to everyone who voted for Taurus Wines in the @muddystiletto awards! It was a pleasure to catch up with fellow winners @cranleigharts@denbiesvineyard today. Cheers 🥂
We were delighted to collect our @muddystiletto Award earlier today and thank you to @denbiesvineyard for the fantastic venue & refreshments. It was great to meet with our fellow winners, two being very local to us @tauruswines and Somersbury Barn 😀
Sunak and his ‘now the UK is an independent nation…’ claptrap:
The UK trousered almost twice as much in wine duty in 2021 than all the countries in the EU put together.
And now he’s put UK duty up 20% for most wines.
What you are actually bringing in is one of the biggest increases in alcohol duty in almost 50 years @RishiSunak
This is not protecting prices for consumers it's piling huge duty increases which will push up prices and damage #wine & #spirit businesses, and hospitality 😠
Just to avoid confusion, those portly, middle-aged men you see around London are not part of #BarbieTheMovie marketing.
They are called "wine merchants" and have been wearing pink trousers for many years.
I was nervous at first, but what a generous panel host SW Williams was to me, @pamlecky @kateellisauthor and @D_GordonSmith at @CrimeFest earlier. Loved discussing how and why we set our historical novels when we do… and why fabrics and martinis are important too! #crimefest

Thanks to both @martinbamford@LAMTownsend for all the effort they are putting in to get this resolved. @thameswater’s response has been pathetic. The damage they are doing to the local economy through constant road closures is unbelievable.
This flood on Elmbridge Road, Cranleigh has been in place for several months, despite constant reports to @SurreyCouncil. It's right outside Ringo Starr's former home. Contractors arrived Friday, closed the road for a couple of hours to pump it away. Flood returned that night.
We find ourselves drooling over @spiralcellars new brochure. They continue to innovate with their #UnspiralCellar, demonstrating yet again that when it comes to bespoke wine storage, ‘one size doesn’t fit all’ https://t.co/1lpEUrEDWt
Yesterday I heard from my publisher @bookouture that over 5million pages of my books had been read on Kindle Unlimited… FIVE MILLION!
Am a bit gobsmacked tbh 🤣
Jane Macquitty approved! This Petali Assyrtiko featured in her round up of the ‘50 Best Winter Whites’ in @thetimes today. See our expanding Greek range here: https://t.co/Ljhp6mGSY8
