Especially large brown carbon absorption, often emitted by biomass burning🔥, was observed in Srinagar, Hyderabad, and Shyamnagar (West Bengal). These brown carbon particles are not included in climate models 🌏 and may need incorporation for more accurate 🎯 simulations. (2/3)
New study: Dark-brown carbon particles from wildfires can accelerate snow ❄️melt! These particles reduce snow reflectivity and increase sunlight☀️absorption to enhance warming 🌡️by up to 2.1 times📈.
