@sojourner1958@MAGA_X_Times@k A disability that you wouldn’t spot just by looking at the person. I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) in my whole body. It’s severe pain daily that I’ve had for almost 20 yrs. I’ve also had a form of arthritis for 4 yrs, but I look completely healthy to the average eye.
@JjJonsmend@sojourner1958@MAGA_X_Times@k Fellow CRPS fighter here. It’s so hard. After almost 20 years since my diagnosis (age 13) I’ve started just accepting the rude looks and using what I need. It’s still so hard every single time though.
@LinodegliAllori@LilaGraceRose I work with people from 20s to over 60 with Down syndrome who live in their own apartment, go to work of various degrees, and do daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, etc.) with varied support of staff as they become more independent.
@liraya_12@piliated@people Do you know people with Down syndrome? Despite health issues (if they have ones effecting daily life), they are some of the happiest people in the world (I work with them daily). Secondly, a healthy child can be born and develop health issues. Should we just kill all babies?
@Tegad@WKidd1776@Patrickwebb And that there are reasons to take birth control besides sex. I got married to my husband at 28 as a virgin, but I was put on birth control the first time at 15.
Great truth from Oswald Chambers, and a great reason to go to church today:
"If we don’t get into the habit of soaking in God’s truths, we will snap when the strain comes—and it will come. None of us has any idea where God is going to put us nor any knowledge of what kinds of difficulty we will face. But if we’ve prepared ourselves beforehand by getting rooted and grounded in God, we will remain true to him whatever happens."
@225couyon@Aaron_Torres First no hitter at the CWS in 65 years (only the third ever). 19 Ks is a new Arkansas record high. Arkansas is a pretty successful program and has been for years. Single elimination game. Does that help?
@alecjas0n @vflesq @3YearLetterman@Simone_Biles@Riley_Gaines_ This individual started hormone therapy when they were in college past puberty. A lot of male characteristics you’re talking about were already there. Secondly, no matter when the transition happens, males have larger lung capacities and hearts which affect swimming greatly.
