@kelsey_k17 Thank you for sharing! It is important to educate people on how these vaccines work. There is a lot of fear surrounding a COVID-19 virus. By educating and attempting to alleviate any fear, it increases the chances of more people getting vaccinated and preventing further spread.
@WUSTL @emmasaakehughes @WUSTLmed I work within the lab at a hospital in the Springfield, MO area. Only a select few patients are given access to a saliva swab testing for COVID-19. I do not have a lot of knowledge on the test. However, I am curious as to why some patients have this option and others do not?
@carroll_tristan I 100% agree! I am excited for a successful vaccine to come into production. However, is a vaccine synthesized within less than a years time truly safe? Has adequate testing been performed? What about possible long term side effects? Can be scary to think about!

The article states that wearing a mask doesn't protect against COVID-19, but the CDC has stated it prevents the spread of droplets. Also, the author states to wear an N95, but they are only required during certain situations (ex: patient intubated) #bms525
I feel it's important to remind everyone that tomorrow we should be mindful of the fact we are still in the middle of a pandemic. This article from the CDC can help remind everyone to practice good social distancing, wear a mask, and practice good hygiene. Stay safe! #bms525

Cops aren't wearing their uniforms to and from work right now because they're afraid someone might attack them or their families. Can you imagine that? Living with a constant fear of being killed by a complete stranger because, to them, you look like a threat?
