In a rapid U-turn HMRC have abandoned plans to change benefit in kind rules on double-cab pickups. These vehicles will continue to be treated as goods vehicles for tax purposes.
HMRC have updated their guidance on the benefit in kind tax treatment of double cab pickups. From 1 July 2024 these vehicles will no longer qualify as vans and so will be taxed in line with company car rules https://t.co/6ohfqrCjbf
Full expensing tax relief for companies on qualifying plant and machinery purchases made permanent. Worth mentioning that the Annual Investment Allowance (AIA) already provides tax relief on plant and machinery purchases up to an annual limit of £1 million.

Main rate of National Insurance for employees to be cut from 12% to 10% from 6th January 2024.
Currently paid on earnings between £12,570 and £50,270 per annum so an annual saving of up to £754.

Class 2 National Insurance paid by self employed to be abolished from April 2024. Main rate of class 4 National Insurance paid by self employed on profits between £12,570 and £50,270 to decrease from April 2024 to 8% from 9%.
