Istanbul is once again hosting one of the important gatherings of the Arabic publishing world.

The 11th International Istanbul Arabic Book Fair brings together more than 300 publishers from over 30 countries, with thousands of books meeting readers and visitors.

At this important gathering of publishers, authors, academics and readers, IUIBP is proud to take part with a joint stand, with the valuable support of the International Religious Publishers Association in Türkiye.

We are here to connect with publishers, strengthen professional partnerships, and further expand our global publishing network for books, knowledge and civilization.

Sivil toplum çalışmalarında en kıymetli şeylerden biri, aynı hedefe yürüyen insanların birbirleriyle uyum ve ahenk içinde çalışabilmesidir.

Burada kimse bir maddi hedef için çalışmıyorsa, kimse görünür olmak için diğerinin önüne geçmeye uğraşmıyorsa, gerektiğinde kendi adımını "geri çekip" arkadaşını öne çıkarabiliyorsa, gece yarılarına kadar yorulmadan birlikte çalışabiliyorsa; zaman zaman kızgınlıklar ve gerilimler yaşansa bile herkes affediciliği, hoşgörüyü ve kardeşliği tercih edebiliyorsa, işte orada gerçek bir takım ruhu oluşmuş demektir.

Bir orkestrayı düşünün…

Her enstrümanın sesi farklıdır. Kimi zaman güçlü, kimi zaman naif; kimi zaman önde, kimi zaman geride… Ama hepsi aynı eserin güzelliği için çalar. Hiçbiri “Benim sesim daha çok duyulsun.” diye diğerinin sesini bastırmaya çalışmaz.

Sivil toplum çalışmalarında da mesele tam olarak budur.

Asıl başarı, herkesin kendisini gösterebilmesi değil; herkesin birbirini görünür kılabilmesidir.

Bir ekipte “Ben yaptım.” yerine “Biz yaptık.” denmeye başlandığında, orada güzel şeyler olur.

11 yıldır farklı kültürlerde yetişmiş, farklı ülkelerde eğitim almış, farklı tecrübeler kazanmış arkadaşlarımızla birlikte büyük bir kültür organizasyonun hazırlığını yapıyoruz. @arabicbookfair

Gecenin bir yarısında, saat kaç olursa olsun herkes bir işin ucundan tutuyor. Bir bakıyorsunuz biri telefon görüşmesi yapıyor, biri bir misafirin programını düzenliyor, biri tasarımla uğraşıyor, biri lojistiği takip ediyor, biri başka bir problemin çözümünü arıyor…

Adeta bir karınca yuvası gibi.

Kimse “Bu benim işim değil.” demiyor.

Kimse “Önce benim adım görülsün.” demiyor.

Kimse “Benim dediğim olsun.” diye diretmiyor.

Çünkü herkes biliyor ki ortak bir hedef varsa, bireysel egolar küçülmeli; takım büyümelidir.

Bazen geriliyoruz. Bazen yoruluyoruz. Bazen birbirimize kızıyoruz. Ama sonra yeniden aynı masanın etrafında buluşabiliyoruz. Çünkü bizi bir arada tutan şey, kişisel hesaplarımız değil; ortak bir ideal ve birbirimize duyduğumuz güvendir.

Ve burada Şefin değeri, takımının değeri kadardır.

Takım yoksa şef yoktur.
Şef yoksa uyumlu bir takım da olmaz.
İyi bir şef, kendisini takımından ayrı görmez. Kendi varlığını ekibinin varlığına bağlar. Onların emeğini görünür kılar, başarılarını sahiplenmek yerine paylaşır, gerektiğinde öne çıkar ama çoğu zaman bir adım geride durup ekibinin parlamasını izler. En önemlisi süreci kendinde tutmaz. Her bilgiyi paylaşır. Gelişmek ve büyümek için paylaşır. Rol verir...

Çünkü bilir ki orkestranın güzelliği şefin alkış almasında değil, ortaya çıkan musikidedir.

Sivil toplum çalışmaları gerilim, rekabet ve kişisel çıkar üzerine yürüyebilecek çalışmalar değildir.

Bunların en büyük sermayesi güvendir.
En güçlü motivasyonu samimiyettir.
En büyük kazancı kardeşliktir.
En önemli başarısı ise uyumu yakalayabilmektir.

Huzur varsa iş vardır.
Birbirine güvenen insanlar varsa zor işler kolaylaşır.
Birbirinin önünü açan insanlar varsa büyük işler mümkün olur.
Ve aynı ideal etrafında kenetlenmiş bir takım varsa, gecenin bir yarısında bile herkesin içinde “Bir şey daha yapabilir miyiz?” diyecek bir heyecan kalır.

Bu ekibin bir parçası olmak ve bu orkestranın ahengini birlikte oluşturmak benim için büyük bir mutluluk.

Bu huzurun, bu kardeşliğin ve bu ahengin daim olması dileğiyle...

Çünkü güzel işler, güzel insanlarla; büyük işler ise birbirine gönülden bağlı takımlarla yapılır.

As a delegation led by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bulut, President of the **International Union of Islamic Book Publishers (IUIBP)**, we had the honor of paying courtesy visits today to **Dr. Musa Kulaklıkaya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye**, **Dr. Yahya Coşkun, Vice President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA)**, and **Mr. Ayhan Tuğlu, Head of the Presidential Library Department**.

During our meetings, we shared the vision, international structure, and ongoing activities of our Union. We also highlighted the remarkable progress achieved since our official establishment, with our membership expanding to more than 250 publishers from 66 countries in a very short period.

Special emphasis was given to the meticulous preparations for our General Assembly and the **International Summit on Islamic Publishing**, which will be held in Istanbul on **25–27 September**. We presented the agenda of the roundtable sessions, our international cooperation strategy, and the initiatives aimed at strengthening collaboration among publishers from across the Islamic world.

These highly productive meetings reaffirmed the strong institutional support for our mission and our commitment to delivering a successful and meaningful General Assembly for all our members.

We sincerely thank our distinguished hosts for their warm hospitality and valuable encouragement, and we look forward to welcoming our members from around the world to Istanbul this September.

Yesterday, on July 13, as the International Union of Islamic Book Publishers (IUIBP), we had a productive meeting with Mr. Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the İlim Yayma Foundation.

During the meeting, we shared information about our Union’s ongoing activities, objectives, and projects planned for the coming period.

We also provided information about the International Islamic Publishing Congress and our General Assembly, which will be held in Istanbul on 25–27 September 2026, and invited Mr. Bilal Erdoğan to attend the program.

We would like to thank Mr. Bilal Erdoğan for his kind hospitality, valuable insights, and support for our Union.

As the International Union of Islamic Book Publishers (IUIBP), we met with H.E. Taha Ayhan, President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), at the ICYF Headquarters in Istanbul on 14 July 2026.

During the meeting, we discussed opportunities for cooperation between our two institutions, particularly in the fields of publishing and the exchange of knowledge and experience across the Islamic world. We also had the opportunity to hear H.E. Taha Ayhan’s valuable views and suggestions regarding the work and future goals of our Union.

We also shared information about the International Islamic Publishing Congress and our General Assembly, which will be held in Istanbul on 25–26 September 2026.

The International Union of Islamic Book Publishers attended the 1st Consultation Meeting of Rectors of Islamic Universities.

The International Union of Islamic Book Publishers (IUIBP) participated in the 1st Consultation Meeting of Rectors of Islamic Universities, hosted by Gaziantep Islam Science and Technology University on June 26–27, 2026.

The meeting brought together rectors and administrators from 73 universities across 41 countries. We briefed participants on the IUIBP 1st Ordinary General Assembly, scheduled for September 25–27, 2026 in Istanbul.

As part of our ongoing membership drive ahead of the General Assembly, we extended invitations to university publishers from various countries and held preliminary membership discussions with key publishers from countries not yet represented in our union — including China, Cambodia, Senegal, the Maldives, Libya, Iraq, Gambia, Mexico, Chad, and Sweden.

During the visit, attended by our Board Members Dr. Muhammed Ağırakça, Cezmi Akgül, and Tayfur Esen, potential areas of cooperation between our organizations were discussed with the President of the Academics and Authors Association of Islamic Countries, Prof. Dr. Ebubekir Ceylan.

The International Union of Islamic Book Publishers (IUIBP) continues its outreach efforts to introduce the Union’s activities to Muslim publishers around the world and to invite them to the International Islamic Publishing Congress, which will be held in Istanbul this September.

As part of these efforts, Dr. Muhammad Ağırakça, Member of the Executive Board of the Union, together with an accompanying delegation, visited Mr. Ismail Muhammad Yusuf, Chairman of Hilal Nashr and son of the renowned scholar Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf, in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the preparations for the International Islamic Publishing Congress and the General Assembly of the International Union of Islamic Book Publishers, scheduled to take place in Istanbul on 25–27 September 2026. Consultations were also held regarding publishers from Uzbekistan and the wider Central Asian region who may be invited to join the Union and participate in the Congress. Hilal Nashr, which is represented on the Union’s Executive Board, played an important role in these discussions.

The participants exchanged views on the future of Islamic publishing, religious publishing activities in Uzbekistan, developments in copyright and translation, and opportunities for international cooperation. Information was also shared about the Union’s recent initiatives and its expanding activities around the world.

The International Islamic Publishing Congress is expected to bring together more than 100 publishers from over 50 countries and aims to serve as a global platform for new partnerships, collaborative projects, and strategic discussions in the field of Islamic publishing.

As part of the Tashkent program, visits were also paid to several publishing houses, including Nesim Kutub, Falak Nashr, Hikmat Nashriyoti, Sahifa, and Nidoi Nashr, all of which are members of the Union. Discussions focused on the publishing sector in Uzbekistan, the future of religious publishing, copyright and translation activities, and the ongoing work of the International Union of Islamic Book Publishers. These publishers were also invited to attend the Congress in Istanbul, where regional and international cooperation opportunities were further explored.

The International Union of Islamic Book Publishers remains committed to strengthening international solidarity, cooperation, and professional collaboration among publishers engaged in Islamic publishing across the world.
