#Fieldwork is an important aspect of our work to create the shoreline characterization #database. Over 33 days in 2018-2019, @ValerieWynja and I have mapped over 15,700 km of BC shoreline, collected over 140 hours of video and more than 167,000 photos! #WorldOceansDay

#WorldOceansDay #Update: Our team in the #Geomatics lab has completed the characterization of over 10,500 km of British Columbia coast which accounts for OVER 43% of all data collected! Lots of hard work and an amazing job by all involved!! #OceansProtectionPlan #AmazingTeam

One year ago today was @ValerieWynja and I's first day #mapping the #shoreline in north and central #BritishColumbia. We ended up mapping over 8,800 km of #coast in 2019. We will be back again to map more coast eventually! #StayHome #Fieldwork #Flashback #BellaBella #Kitimat

@Knomealone Just be careful, most of Ottawa (including Wellington/Parkdale) is in controlled airspace & requires either the operator to have their advanced license and permission from the control centre, or a drone weighing under 250 grams. Check out https://t.co/R8OPrpPRU2 for more info!

@saverygo @CBCOttawa Hey! Unfortunately most of Ottawa is within controlled airspace and you either need: an advanced operator's license and permission from the area control centre, or a drone weighing less than 250g. Which the Mavic Mini does, but I don't have one of those (yet!)

A bit of a rough commute this morning - there was construction on the stairs & a car accident at the bottom landing. Luckily, I was able to step over them, so it only added an extra 3 seconds to my commute. Total commute time: 13 seconds! Not too bad! #WorkingFromHome #traffic
