majority of you don’t actually care how much minimum wage should be you just prefer it stay significantly less than your wage, so you can continue to use the money u make to feel better than others
“soooo many businesses would go under if the minimum wage is raised”
so you agree? that companies rely on the exploitation of their employees to sustain themselves?
Billionaires convinced y’all certain jobs aren’t hard work, so don’t require a decent wage. And y’all ate it up. Yet in a pandemic those same workers became “essential workers” and kept our service economy from collapse.
"Is it not violent for a child to go to bed hungry in the richest country in the world? I think that is violent. But that type of violence is so institutionalized that it becomes a part of our way of life. Not only do we accept poverty, we even find it normal..." - Kwame Ture
It’s so funny you’d think all of those people who were sooo upset about blm protests being disrespectful to cops would be livid right now? But I haven’t heard a peep from any of them? So funny!
I don’t think we’re talking enough about the very real security breach?? like these people had access to confidential information... this is so unsettling
don't know who needs to hear this but there are several orders of magnitude between "smashing a starbucks window in general mayhem" and "breaking into the u.s. capitol while congress is in session because you believe the ongoing election certification is fraudulent"

U.S. Capitol security failures need to be fully investigated.
We spend billions of dollars on national security and today failed to protect our Nation’s Capital from a lawless mob.
Unacceptable!
The man directly responsible for the chaos of today is Donald Trump, who has made it clear that he will do anything to remain in power – including insurrection and inciting violence. Trump will go down in history as the worst and most dangerous president in history.
College costs have exploded over the last 10-20 years & wages have not kept up.
It’s a totally different landscape and the fact they’re using anecdotal experience from 20+ years ago to reinforce their opinions instead of looking at current cost/wage data is disturbing.
These Republicans who are defensively rage-tweeting “But you’re wrong! I worked my way to pay through college!!” don’t realize they sound like folks who speak of the days when Hershey bars were 5¢ at the general store.
