Zohran is in an incredibly difficult position trying to lead a city as diverse as NYC. I actually don't think there's any way he can lead on this matter any better than he currently is given the current political/media climate.
Anyone who looks at American electoral politics today and thinks Mamdani is the problem is not a serious person. He is our main beacon of hope in changing this evil and genocidal system. Some people do not want real change. They want to virtue signal.
Not to political post but a lot of american leftists are so obsessed with virtue signaling theyre ready to turn on the single best hope for a future of socialism because the mayor of the biggest city in a country run by zionists has to stand stone faced with the government
LMAOOOO next mayor is gonna be rapey cuomo because the left won’t even vote for mamdani again lmao on GOD i have never witnessed a group of people who so desperately want everyone around them to suffer
like ??? he’s not a federal politician, he’s been in office for less than a year, he has no influence on what the white house or congress does with respect to war. how on earth is there blood on HIS hands? what children has he killed? this is all so unserious. none of you truly give a shit about actual palestinian lives jesus fucking christ
Deadass everyone calling mamdani a zionist for daring to point out that killing civillians is wrong even if one country is committing genoicde on the other is proof that modern leftists doesn't actually give a fuck about the problems they complain about and just wants to bitch
People don’t take us seriously because we expend energy on the wrong people. Mamdani has been one of the largest political supporters of Palestine for years, but yeah let’s spend our afternoon protesting him. This is why it takes generations for progressives to win.
I think it is cool that a woman reports that she was raped and a certain type of person is like GOTTA WAIT FOR THE FACTS! And then when the accused rapists say “actually she raped us”, that same person says “this is 1000000% the truth”
Cornell University was the first Ivy to admit Black students. Cornell was the first coeducational Ivy (from its founding). Cornell should be the first Ivy to abolish Greek life for good. Enough is enough.
And another thing, if we start destroying the lives of young rapists, we might avoid having old rapists in charge of everything in the future.
And that's a hill I'll die on.
reminder that rape is used a weapon of war on a regular basis because it is one of the most demoralizing, terrifying and life-changingly traumatic things that can happen to a human being.
That just is not true. Please stop these ridiculous talking points. I have gone to stand with these families every single year for a decade now. My friends and neighbors are not crying for 6 hours straight. We are greeting each other, hugging each other, laughing at the memories and the jokes the families tell remembering their loved ones. Most politicians do not stay the entire time, in fact every year, at the end it is usually just me and former mayor Mike Bloomberg. This year was different @NYCMayor did. He stayed for every name and even stayed after to talk to families for 45 minutes. My friend who works for the memorial, even told me it was a new record. @AOC , for the record was there at 7:30 am and also stayed for every name and this brief moment they said was of them laughing was just when she walked up to him and said hello.
When I said hello to him with my daughter he even whispered to me after our hug “hi my friend! Hi Zoe! Sorry I didn’t see you, I’m super focused on the stage right now.” And he was. He listened to every story and every name and was there for our community of lower Manhattan. We appreciate you both.
I hope these gross talking points will end.
