If you were giving an assignment to your students to create a website, would you want them to use a free resource like Weebly, or would you prefer google sites? I would definitely go with google. I think it is way easier to navigate and looks much cleaner. #IM42x
@LaurenH09242046 I have so many memories of funny teachers. I think it’s cool how they included that in this article. I feel like some may see it as unnecessary or unprofessional, but I think it improves the overall mood of the class as a whole! #IM42x
@jennaw3419 I’ve thought a lot about using podcasts as well. I didn’t have that option in school either, and I think it’s a really cool resource that a lot of students would enjoy! #IM42x
@jordyne_broich I would definitely use some of these strategies. Especially as someone who has never actually taught before, I feel like I would be open to trying different strategies to see what works for both me and my students. #IM42x
Here are some resources for students to create content digitally. I like how this one includes options for younger children who may not be able to operate the more complex ones. #IM42x https://t.co/1chzfs35rC
Here’s some skills that are important for students to develop. They have creativity listed as the first one. Do you think this is the most important? Why or why not? #IM42x https://t.co/jWglvqNt7u
@taylorlind14 Good point! I always forget how impressionable kids are in their elementary years until I think back to how much I looked up to teachers and other adults when I was that age. #IM42x
@heinonen_brynn@jordyne_broich I agree Brynn! I think there are definitely opportunities for teachers to help students develop new technological skills in high school and elementary, it’s just a matter of how complex the skills are and the different uses for the ones they’re learning. #IM42x
@taylorlind14 I think communication is a big one! I don’t know if it’s considered most important, but it’s a lifetime skill that everyone needs. #IM42x
What are the best teaching tools to use with younger aged elementary students? Do you feel that you need to use more teaching tools to keep younger students engaged? #IM42x
Here is a link to the Osmo website: https://t.co/k5eyukdrBd
I have done a lot of exploring with it recently and I think it is a great learning tool for elementary classrooms! #IM42x
There are so many tools that can be used for teaching. I think that technological resources are one of the best ways to reach students. Is there anyone that prefers not to use technology as much? #IM42x
@Elizabe17706898@GanglMs I agree with Elizabeth! A bunch of those were new to me and I had not heard of them before. This is definitely a good list to expand the tools that we use in the classroom. #IM42x
@ameliatarr2 I think teachers should use it as long as it is benefitting their students. I do not think that there is anything wrong with it. I know that others like PowerPoint better, but it is personal preference. #IM42x
I am excited to get into a classroom again and observe some more classroom management styles! Every teacher has their own way of doing things, and I think I will benefit from seeing a variety of different styles. #IM42x
My field experience that I had in a kindergarten classroom allowed me to see many ways that a teacher successfully manages their class. I have read some articles on classroom management, but seeing it in action was very helpful for me! #IM42x
