@payeldas1011 @OpenAcademics Just defend 2 days ago and I’m not sure what to do with myself. So far the most helpful has been returning to things that made me happy before the crunch time like running, gardening, reading, volunteering, and napping 😴

[Taylor Oeschger @TaylorOeschger]

Successfully defended my thesis on Wednesday so I guess that makes me Dr. Gonorrhea Girl now #PhDone

[Taylor Oeschger @TaylorOeschger]

@ancafajardo @PhDVoice Good luck! Make sure to report back and let us know if it’s better on the other side!!

Is it normal to question the usefulness of your entire PhD 6 weeks before your thesis defense? #phdchat #phdlife @PhDVoice #impostersyndrome

@JasonCMarvin ^And knowing probiotics are not well regulated or proven but taking them anyways because they taste like gummy bears 🤤

[Taylor Oeschger @TaylorOeschger]

@dvm_scarlett @PhDVoice Yes! I’m thinking the same thing. But also I’ve been saying “I’ll just get this last piece working and then I’ll be happy with it” and well its not working

[Taylor Oeschger @TaylorOeschger]

@JasonCMarvin are you experiencing anything similar??

The increased popularity of rapid antigen tests has made it so much easier to explain my research to friends and family. “You know those rapid COVID tests? I make those but for gonorrhea.” #brightside #phdlife

@JasonCMarvin @aechiou I recommend Tony’s Cable Car Restaurant. Seriously amazing simple, burgers in SF. The restaurant is literally an old cable car. I havent been there in 10 years but hopefully it’s still good!

@ScienceYael Saw this and immediately used it! Thank you!!

On a scale from 1 to “I’m bribing gonorrhea with cow blood to get it to grow on a piece of paper” how weird is your Monday? #AcademicTwitter #PhDlife @AcademicChatter @OpenAcademics

@inxanadudid Yes! She loves the leather couch because it’s cooler than the fabric ones

@JasonCMarvin Are they 200uL? Cuz I would steal them for sure

My first ever research paper was just published today after 7 years of research and at least 5 different projects. Just a reminder that research progress isn’t always linear! #phdchat #AcademicTwitter @ProfEricksonCU @AcademicChatter @OpenAcademics https://t.co/GYij24sGC9
