I hate posts about women sending their husbands to the grocery store & them just not being capable of grocery shopping. It’s not cute or funny that a grown man can’t navigate a grocery store and follow a list. I’m begging some of y’all to stand up
The issue of respectability in dress, and what constitutes "proper" attire in public, has raged for as long as people have worn clothes. People who take this position fail to recognize that their own clothes were once the "yoga pants" of their day. I will run through examples 🧵
The transformed wife has obviously not be transformed by what abuse can do to a person.
Every women who is now dead from their abusive husbands had encounters JUST LIKE THIS. But till death do us part….right
The video of a few minutes that she released shows the ugliness of divorce. Revenge? How did she treat him? Yes, what he said to her was terrible, no doubt, but many couples say terrible things to each other in the heat of an argument that they regret later. None of us know what was really going on.
It's just a heartbreaking situation overall. It's heartbreaking to hear of marriages falling apart on a daily basis, and knowing the devastation that the children will experience for the rest of their lives.
Marriage isn't easy. It's HARD! Two imperfect people living together until death do they part. It takes commitment and a choice to love each other through good times and bad times. Every marriage will go through trials and sufferings. This is a guarantee. It's those who fight for their marriages who survive for life. Fight for yours, women.
Steven Crowder ensuring his listeners that he never *physically* abused his wife, Hillary, is a very key component of this story.
He knows what he did to her through his words and treatment of her.
And still, what did she say in that video?
“I love you, Steven…”
It recently dawned on me that my kids will be in preschool together for a year and that makes me so happy. Makes the hard 2 under 2 months feel so worth it.
Shout out to the parents who still behaved like parents for Prom 2023 and didn’t allow your daughters to leave the house dressed like a Las Vegas cabaret performer. 🥲🫶🏽
Stop giving expecting moms baby clothes as gifts and give them a solid wet/dry mop. They’re gonna be cleaning their kitchen floor for years to come cause of those little offspring
I have forgotten to take my medicine for like three days now so everyone pray for me and my impending psychological breakdown and general mental well-being lmao
@dropped_13 Probably 🤗. So annoying. Also I’m like the same amount pregnant and it’s not hard to do normal things like this at 22 weeks. 30+ weeks is another story lmao.
Flying with kids is so stressful. It would have been top tier service if the attendant took care of it. BUT it’s still the parent’s responsibility at the end of the day. But like this dude could have also picked it up instead of complaining on twitter???
No one will ever know a relationship fully besides the two people in that relationship. Y’all can choose to believe whatever you want. The only reason I ever decided to speak out finally last October with the first post I made (pinned post) was because-
How To Heal From Emotionally Immature Parents:
In homes with emotionally immature parents (EIP) we learn to walk on eggshells.
Emotionally immature parents struggle to cope with their emotions and often lash out, give silent treatment, remove their love, or shame their children often unintentionally.
Growing up in this environment, we learn we are not safe to fully be ourselves.
This creates emotional hypervigilance.
Emotional hypervigilance is a survival adaptation where we constantly scan our environment to see shifts or changes in people's mood, facial expression, or tone.
Emotional hypervigilance looks like:
- constantly asking “are you ok?” without accepting the answer
- chronic fear of upsetting or disappointing someone
- micromanaging adults behavior: telling people what they 'should' be doing even when they're not receptive
- playing peacemaker or mediator in family members conflict even when it doesn’t involve you
- replaying conversations over and over again to see if you said something 'wrong'
We're attempting to protect ourselves, but as adults emotional hypervigilance can really impact our relationships and can be source of intense anxiety.
How To Heal From Emotional Hypervigilance:
1. Understand you're no longer in childhood: in childhood, this kept you safe. As an adult you have options to protect yourself, remove yourself from harmful situations, and set clear boundaries.
2. Let go of the "fixer" role: people who are hypervigilant often believe their role is to fix the problems of adults. Often because they played a therapist role to a parent from a young age. We are not responsible for fixing anyone else's issues expect our own.
3. I trust people's words: if someone tells me everything is fine, I honor their word. I don't keep picking or looking to see if something is wrong. I don't make assumptions, instead I ask for clarity.
4. I allow people to be in their own mood: it's ok for people to be in a mood or emotional state that's different from me. I don't need to fix this or change their mood.
5. I can clearly communicate my needs: as adults, if we have a need, we need to communicate that need. We can't expect people close to us to mind read or 'just know' what we want.
6. I can disappoint people: disappointing an emotionally immature parent can result in the silent treatment, shaming, rejection, or harsh punishment. As adults, we can learn that disappointing people is simply part of life and that healthy adults can cope with disappointment.

It will take practice to re-wire your mind and body to feel safe. Trust the process.
I'd love feedback on if you prefer this long format mode or threads in the comments.
