I thought Polymarket team's "clarification" in the MicroStrategy market - which effectively changed the original market rules - was rock bottom. Apparently not. It seems they have even more absurd methods at their disposal.
Take the market on the Democratic primary in New York's 8th District.
https://t.co/CkGf50Pzpo
The original rules explicitly stated: "If no 2026 New York 8th District Democratic House Primary takes place, this market will resolve to Other"
However, yesterday the Polymarket team published a "clarification" saying that if the party decides not to hold a primary and instead selects a candidate through another process, the market will resolve in favor of the chosen candidate.
In other words, the original rules were already clear and comprehensive. They specifically addressed the scenario where the primary would be canceled. That's exactly what happened. There was no ambiguity, no controversy, and no legitimate reason for a dispute.
Yet the Polymarket team decided to rewrite the rules after the fact.
I had no position in this market, but I'm genuinely disturbed by how centralized Polymarket has become and how questionable the team's actions are becoming.
Of course, as long as the project keeps dangling the prospect of an airdrop in front of users, a mass boycott is unlikely no matter what they do.
But remember these words: if Polymarket doesn't get its act together, it will eventually face a reckoning.
They can't rely on airdrop expectations forever. Sooner or later they'll either have to distribute it, or users will stop believing the promises.
And when that day comes, the community will remember everything.
I wouldn't jump to conclusions so quickly.
Brazil is Brazil.
They've never been the most consistent team in the world, but they've also never been a team you can confidently write off after a single disappointing match.
And they've never been a one-player team either - not in the days of Romário, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho or Neymar.
What surprises me is how much people are overreacting to one underwhelming performance.
And it's not even like Brazil lost - they drew.
On top of that, their opponent was Morocco, a very good team: finalists of the last Africa Cup of Nations and semifinalists at the last World Cup.
As far as I'm concerned, Brazil remain one of the leading favorites to win this tournament.

Lol. But honestly, it was pretty predictable that every Polymarket competitor would do their best to make sure as many people as possible heard about this story.
This highlights another common trait of crypto projects: when they're on top, they start treating their position as guaranteed and forget that reputation is one of their most valuable assets.
The moment you start losing trust, there are always plenty of projects waiting for an opportunity to take your place.
For example, @Outcomexyz, built on HIP-4, has been gaining traction recently.
If Polymarket doesn't learn from situations like this and continues these questionable UMA-related controversies, people will eventually leave. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but trust is much easier to lose than it is to rebuild.
I like seeing more and more people willing to stand up for their investments and defend their position in crypto.
I understand that this is crypto, and ordinary users usually have very little chance of success against whales and projects.
Still, it's important to always fight for what's yours.
One of the biggest obstacles to mass crypto adoption is that, despite its trillion-dollar market cap, the space still operates largely like the Wild West, where nobody is accountable for anything and might makes right.
So I sincerely wish you the best of luck, @0xDinoCrypto.
One of the few projects I'm still planning to farm despite the overall miserable state of crypto right now, especially when it comes to airdrops - @Outcomexyz.
Why do I think Outcome is worth a shot?
☑️ It combines two of the hottest narratives of this cycle: prediction markets and Hyperliquid.
☑️ The project is built on HIP-4, which could potentially help position you for a second $HYPE airdrop.
☑️ Unlike the dominant player in this sector, Polymarket, starting to trade on Outcome today still makes you an early user.
☑️ The project is currently very underfarmed. For example, my $297 is enough to put me in 543rd place on the overall volume leaderboard.
Of course, none of this guarantees a great airdrop, but if you're still looking for a few opportunities in this market, Outcome seems like one of the most interesting ones.
