A shout out to all the women that have campaigned for decades whilst suffering immense pain due to internal injuries caused by a hideous #plastic#mesh device that was experimental with no long term studies
What brave women you all are 🫂
With Prayers 🙏 to those that have lost their lives due to this dreadful #plastic #trash 💔

@PIPActionA Thank you for sharing.
I believe the biggest hope all patient groups have of success is working together & tackling the root causes.
Regulatory failure is a key one, there are others such as pharmaceutical industry influence on institutions & lack of informed consent.
Far too many Women are living with this Relentless 24/7 Pain. Death will be the ONLY Escape from the Pain. Women's Lives have been Ruined and it was ALL Preventable Harm as Doctor after Doctor DENIED the Mesh could cause so much pain and kept implanting it in unsuspecting women.
Please can you share and like for our baby Ben. His short life resulted in so many medical changes which will have saved so many other children and changes to better support bereaved families. RIP Ben ❤️
Thanks to MP Sharon Hodgson for asking questions on behalf of #slingthemesh about long wait times at the 9 UK specialist mesh centres - govt has no information on this but aims for 18 weeks gynae wait times! Average wait time for mesh removal is 2-3 years

68. The Secretary of State told the House: I would expect [@DrBruceKeogh’s second] review also to include consideration of an outcomes-based register of frequently implanted devices, covering everything from #breastimplants to heart valves & replacement joints, in order to provide the UK with a valuable asset for further innovation & safety improvement. There is already considerable clinical support for such a comprehensive register.” @DHSCgovuk + @MHRAgovuk failing in #patientsafety @wesstreeting@PutneyFleur@PSCommissioner@EstherMcVey1

Those harmed by #pelvicmesh and #valproate deserve proper redress & have been waiting too long. The Patient Safety Commissioner is right to call for the government to respond in full to the Hughes report as soon as possible.
