We should have been the first ones investing in & utilizing green energy technology, creating profit-sharing businesses that pull people out of poverty wages, ensuring halal farms are everywhere, constructing utility & telecom grids for universal assurance of power & Internet.
We should be the ones on the frontlines working on conservation projects & building grand & beautiful gardens, preserving the wilderness of the world, constructing reliable housing for those in need, creating sustainable food sources, launching water distribution systems...
The more I’m getting into the bigger arenas of the world where people work on grand scale projects, the more I wish my Muslim community was involved in these things, because we have such a rich history of advocacy for these things within our traditions.
The ugliest thing in the world isn't greed like Jeff Bezos's, but a social and economic system designed to reward him for destroying workers, democracy and the climate.
