I missed my friends and family from home so much since this move. It felt very isolating.
& it’s been painful noticing the who’s actually in my corner..
But I’m very very thankful for the friends that I’ve gained out here who have straight up turned into family.
Told them my birthday plans in advance & they both immediately bought their tickets and took off work to fly from the west coast to spend my birthday with me. No hesitation.
That truly meant a lot and said a lot to me personally. Thankful that I crossed paths with them. 🤍
It’s not personal - It’s all love . I’m just not going out of my way to show up for anyone anymore who hasn’t shown up for me in the last 6-7 months. It’s , “ I’ll see you when I see you naturally. But I’m Not going out of my way.”
When I get back home, I can truly count on one hand the friends and family that’ll actually get me out of the house FOR THEM specifically.
Everybody else can continue not seeing, showing up for me, or checking in like they’ve been doing 🤷🏽♀️
Some days I’m in amazement that this is my new home & excited because there’s so many opportunities for growth & I’m welcoming the uncomfortableness & some days I’m just like - yeah… it’s time to go tf home. I can’t wait for the happy medium to last longer than it typically does
Kinda happy my bd flaked on bringing our daughter out for Christmas, cause now my mom is coming and I’m so excited to host her and really take her around LA 🥰
As childish as it sounds, this would’ve been my first Christmas without my parents/family & I was a little sad 🥲 I’m happy I get to spend it with my mom ❤️
