Never forget young players, everybody puts out that HRs are all that matters but the WBC was just won because Arraez had an actual at bat where he wasn’t trying to hit a HR and got on base. America was only focused on one thing all game as an offense. Getting on base wins

He shows off his smooth right handed swing here. Getting himself into the action with a base hit into LF.

Dear 11 & 12 year olds and their parents:
The full size field is a year or two away. Those 200-250’ “dingers” you’re hitting now will be fly ball outs soon. I know we love those USSSA bats but you’re also a few years away from using BBCOR bats which will take away your “pop” overnight.
The big field is a game changer. It has a way of humbling those kids who dominated the small field. Keep working hard. Be careful of thinking the game is easy. Each year from here on out will push you to get better. Will reveal your toughness. Will challenge you everyday.
BTW, that 90’ sprint to first base will make you feel slow!! 🤣🤣 do your sprints!!
BREAKING: President Trump is about to sign an Executive Order expanding access to IVF.
This could include mandating insurance companies to cover the treatment and allowing couples with fertility issues to have kids.
He campaigned on this.
First off, I want to thank God, my friends, and my family for all they have done. With that being said I would like to announce my commitment to East Tennessee State University to further my academic and athletic career ⚾️⚾️⚾️!!!@McminnCoBSBL #Gobucs
CHARLIE'S HUSTLE⚾️🍊
It was the moment I knew this Tennessee Baseball program was different.
It happened in November in Chattanooga.
The Vols were playing game three of their best-of-3 Fall World Series at AT&T Park. The roster was evenly split into two teams - Orange and White.
The third out of an inning had just been recorded.
The door to the bullpen in left field swung open. A catcher in full gear sprinted across the outfield grass, through the infield and took his position behind home plate.
It was Charlie Taylor.
I appreciated the hustle and assumed he was entering the game since both teams carried two catchers.
He wasn’t.
Charlie had noticed from the bullpen that the other catcher on his team, Cal Stark, was on the bases when the inning ended. Instead of letting his pitcher stand out there a few extra seconds longer, waiting for Cal to gear up, Charlie sprinted in to catch the warmup pitches.
Then he sprinted all the way across the field and back to the bullpen in left field.
For the third time in four years, the Vols are headed to Omaha for the College World Series. They’ve won 55 games. They lead the nation with 173 home runs. They’re the SEC regular season and tournament champions. They’re ranked no. 1 in the nation and are the no. 1 overall seed in the tournament as they seek the first national championship in school history.
The roster is loaded with guys who will have their names called in this July’s Major League Baseball Draft. There are currently six Vols listed in the top 100 prospects.
There are many obvious reasons why the Vols win.
What I saw last November in Chattanooga isn’t in any box score or game summary but is reflective of a program, coaching staff, team chemistry and love for one other that is uncommonly great.

Tony Vitello just gave one of the fiercest postgame press conference openings I’ve ever seen.
He was clearly upset with a question from yesterday asking if they lost tonight, would this season be seen as a success.
There was A LOT more involved with this.
#Vols senior C Cal Stark said he never for a second considered transferring in the offseason despite Tennessee bringing in big portal transfers Cannon Peebles and Dalton Bargo and signing great HS C Stone Lawless.
He just got better and won the job.
"This is my home," he said.
Back in the day when a kid got zero minutes as a freshman he would probably transfer…. NOW Freshman year you play 29 mins a game average 11.. they still might leave… transfer portal is weird… it’s making kids run away from anything they don’t like…. Soft
