When asked, “How does it feels to marry a genius?” Marie Curie said: “Go ask my husband.”
From the beginning of the 20th century, her example has enabled the role of women in science to be improved, but more generally in the world of work.

Congratulations Indonesia👏👏 President @Jokowi signed a Presidential Regulation on the Prevention of TB with the TB Management to achieve elimination targets by 2030. This is great news for the country’s and global efforts to #endTB!
Very sad, the TB field has lost a true legend. David was hugely influencial (still is) and knowledgeable. Always very straight talking - an attribute that I hold in high regard!
Sadly, Professor David Minnikin from the University of Birmingham passed away yesterday lunchtime, peacefully after a short-illness. I would like to let everyone who knew him reflect on what was a truly gifted and inspirational scientist. He will be missed.
