@RupertLowe10 Fuel duty should not be a % of the price at the pump, it should be a fixed figure per litre that doesn't vary with price per litre, therefore they do not benefit from an increased fuel price.

@linmeitalks I think a lot of people have lost the motivation to work hard for better pay. Often you work hard for a pay rise and then you get it, but the problem is the price of everything else has gone up just as much, so you've worked hard to afford exactly the same as before.

£50K was a middle class salary 10 years ago.
