@ProfPCDoherty @gmorg22 How could you forget all of that comedy gold where he's mocking a disabled person and his edgy jokes about veterans being losers and suckers?
@nypost I'm not a super big fan of KH, but I think what is quite objectionable about this framing is that it ignores all of her career and accomplishments (and failures), simply focusing on a rather unimportant aspect of her identity.
@RpsAgainstTrump Reminds me a bit of the farm turkey who has enjoyed a good life, right up to the morning before the family Christmas party. Gotta know when it's time to bow out gracefully, or the voters will do it for you.
@jeff_kennett@zalisteggall But they seem to be ditching short-term clean energy targets in place of this very tenuous plan. The proposal would have more credibility if it was framed as the long-term continuation of the current clean energy plan.
@IonaItalia Ah, I'm not really that familiar with the tango scene, so it may be quite different. I'm very biased here, but you might enjoy zouk which is growing in Sydney. It's quite tango-like in its weight shifts, and it seems to attract a very welcoming community.
@IonaItalia Sydney can also be quite clique-ish. I found it was sometimes easier to befriend people at my dance school and ask them to dance rather than strangers.
@IonaItalia The Sydney dance scene was pretty good when I lived there (at the time, I was doing mostly salsa and bachata), but when there's a gender imbalance, you sometimes have to be a bit proactive about asking people to dance if you are in the minority.
