New clauses in rental contracts in the U.K. must be included by landlords. Always check and your contract to be ensure it’s reflects legal obligations of the landlord

@genrentuk From what l hear from you d renters bidding for a rental property is normal now. Data has shown for every rental there are at least a hundred vying to secure it. A serious lack of rental stock

Rental deposits in England are protected by law don’t let anyone tell you different. This must be shared with tenants and normally is included in the rental contract

@SwillPlays @hoezeth All deposits must be held in an approved Deposit that’s the law. Tenants are also protected under The Tenants Fee Act 2019. Of charges are spurious challenge and raise a case with the deposit scheme

It is also against the Tenants Fee Act 2019 for landlords or letting agents to charge for professional cleaning.
