Just picked up a tux for a wedding this weekend and after trying it on the girl helping me goes “So when’s prom, Saturday?” Wasn’t even sure how to respond.
Love this from Gaby Lopez on continuing Lorena Ochoa's tradition of thanking the staff at an event, going to the kitchen or the maintenance building.
Dozens of staff came out to watch Lopez on the 10th this week at Sharon Heights.
"I feel that sometimes we don't value the amount of work put behind an event. We just show up and play golf, right?"
@ThorbjornOleZyn@Mike_kim714 What a tweet. I’ll wait all day for you to list the 24+ who left that anyone watching the PGA Tour cares about. I’ll even let you get away with naming 23 since Brooks is back.
🚨🗣️👀 #CALLED OUT — @johnson_wagner comments on Rory McIlroy’s press conference yesterday: “He is seeing things from such a finite perspective.” @TrackingRory
Do you agree with him?
More people like Hayden Springer in golf:
Today at the WM Hayden was practicing a young kid and his mom said hello and asked for an autograph.
Hayden gave him one, then asked if he would like to hit some balls and gave him a lesson.
This is how it’s done.
🚨🎥⛳️ NEW: Rory McIlroy acknowledges that the PGA TOUR has been ‘diminished’ by YouTube golf and suggests it may be time to scale back the number of tournaments played: “I think it already has been. You know, I think it already has been diminished...” @TrackingRory
“YouTube is like golf entertainment adjacent, whatever. Those guys are killing it. They found a niche and it's really cool and it serves a purpose for a lot of people..
“But look, I would much rather sit down and watch real golfers play real tournaments and that's just my opinion. That to me is more entertaining.
“But I understand that other people want something different and that's totally fine as well. I think there's space for all of this. Yeah, I can see when the golf consumer might get a little fatigued of everything that's sort of available to them.”
“So to scale it back a little bit and maybe have a little more scarcity in some of the stuff that we do, like the NFL, I think mightn't be a bad thing.”
