The provincial government has refused to address the most urgent challenges in Saskatchewan classrooms, such as class size, complexity and violence. They have left us with no other option. The clock is ticking. 🕔
Hiking, dancing, nature, fresh air & new learnings! We are taking home lots of happy memories from our time at Lumsden Beach today! #CommunityofExcellence
Big thank you to Misty Wensel, Orion Paradis & Sara Burns for putting together an incredible nature inspired learning experience in movement & sound. Thanks to the @saskartsboard & Lumsden Beach Camp for making it all possible! #CommunityEngagement@Connaughtcomets
Today students ordered words from most important to least important (in their opinion) and created beautiful winter simile poems using their top 4 words! #wearewriters#communityofexcellence#cameronscorner
Our class has received such positive parent feedback about using class dojo this year. What are your favorite tools to engage parents? #edchat#edtech#edtechteam https://t.co/FrIwPwtbbF
@brcic20m Easy for our mind to wander when typing notes. Writing by hand involves me repeating what was said/processing the info better. If classes weren't just lecture style wouldn't students be more engaged with the lesson and less distracted by the tech around them. I know I would be.
@JaqueBampi Interesting! I would argue that it depends on the student. Not all students can keep up with writing notes by hand. When I type my notes are usually more thorough and easy to re-read for later later but if I'm trying to understand content the first time I like to write by hand.
