@peterkyle The whole building is falling apart and jobs that were told were done to fix the property were not and just painted over.

The electrics blew because of a burst pipe. The pipes break all the time, water is a huge issue here.

@peterkyle The electric got put on eventually, with no contact from council or discussion of any food people may have lost after 24 hours of no electricity or cooking facilities.

The block is a danger zone though. pipes are rotting, mold, windows not properly fixed, the start of a list

Update. It is half of the building entirely out of electric now. There is no discussion by the council except texts not actually explaining what's going on

A reminder that if public schools shut down, millions of children will lose their access to some of the only meals they receive each day.

Food banks will become more important, and I've learned the best way to help is not to donate your spare canned goods, it's to donate money.

I know it’s necessary to stop the spread of covid-19, but self isolation, no school etc and everything being shut/cancelled is going to be SO difficult for those, including myself, who suffer from mental illnesses that rely on distractions / a daily routine to avoid relapse ...

You deprioritize medical interventions for us because we are old or have preexisting conditions.

Nothing brings out ableism and eugenics more than a perceived threat to nondisabled people.

Why is this so hard to do when disabled people need this to participate in society?
