The distinctive green tint in the window sashes of @tcddublin’s Examination Hall is caused by a concentration of iron oxide in the sand used to make its 1780s crown glass. The pinkish hue is the result of manganese used to counter the green tint. Magical survivors

The campus is open as normal today (Wednesday) and all activities will resume. Dublin is now under a yellow warning which means winds are still high so be careful as you go about the city.
Due to #StormBarra and following the earlier government announcement, Trinity College Dublin will be closed tomorrow (Tuesday). Further updates will be given by email and social media
To mark the retirement of the Chairman of the Grounds & Gardens Committee Prof John Parnell planted a tree in the Physics Lawn to mark his tenor as Chairman and invaluable contribution to the GAGC, College and @tcddublin_FS over the years. We wish you all the best John!
The last of the scaffolding will be removed from our Museum Building over the coming weeks after an extensive refurbishment to the roof.

The sun is shining between our Zoology and Anatomy building for the first time since 1887! The works are to facilitate our E3 building, however look out for the facade which we'll integrate into the new E3 development! @tcddublin@tcddublin_FS
Great work being done in the octagonal space at Front Arch @tcddublin: new notice boards, renovating the stonework, painting the vaulted ceiling, etc…..awaiting the reopening!
