@TinaYazdani@DFisman What’s included in the 14 day average? Did they include all teachers on approved long term medical leaves that require doctors notes? I.e. surgery, cancer, work place injuries That would certainly skew numbers - data matters
@beck_steph58475@Mario_Sneh Highly unlikely that a single classroom would not allow all allergens - this is an anaphylactic reaction to sesame - I’m sure as a parent if your child could die from exposure you’d want the same precaution
@JBradshaw01 If a grade one class has 20 students that’s $300- 20x$15 -so there is not an extra $450? Does that mean you need a class of 50 to get the whole $750?
@Kristin_R15@WellsJorda89710 If they were ill to the point they could not attend they’d would have been eligible for Home Instruction, doctors notes after the fact are too late
@CarymaRules There are Christians in Palestine and Christian Canadians of Palestine descent , why is it offensive to have a Christian preacher alongside?
@Principal_Jon Where are these private schools? A private school with a decent reputation starts at $20,000 plus all the extras - registration fee, uniforms, tech. fees, extra-curriculars, field trips, fundraisers that are thousands more
@EdHolman169371@gregbradyx No, actually blind compliance is something that is discouraged by school boards - apparently it’s not safe to comply to adults and asking for compliance is the reason behaviours escalate - kids have choice and voice
@JohnDonald32650@MsKrispanis@jacksnider88 ask your kids, they’ll tell you - there is no tech in the gr 12 uni level bio class, using an overhead projector -need personal laptops to teach - and how to ceiling fell down in one of the halls one school day, the “sky is literally falling” because roof needs replacement
@JohnDonald32650@MsKrispanis@jacksnider88 Libraries are pretty much the last place in schools with some resources left - no textbooks, no tech, no books - what should teachers use to teach? - the library is where teachers can find some limited resources
@JohnDonald32650@MsKrispanis@jacksnider88 There is no money for tech- a lot of tech given out to families during lockdowns never came back, came back damaged or is obselete/broken- the TDSB used to give every gr 5 student a device and it would carry through to high school - that was cut due to lack of funds
@PurpleRuby18@gregbradyx OSAP? So your 16 year old can take on debt earlier now that OSAP is just pretty much a loan? The 16 year old that can’t get a part-time job to help pay for tuition? A 16 year old living in residence and then off campus for three years? Doubtful.
@TorontoStar This is nothing new - many share or have no vp - been happening for years - it’s based on enrollment- my Principal friend has no VP because the GTA school only has 120 kids - growing up the 2 T.O. Schools I went to gr K-8 also had no VP - enrollment goes down so does access to VP
